Home the end of July first week in August, anyone know much about this river, want to try it around this time? Or is there a better place to catch a salmon on the fly in Mayo around that time?

A nice little river, contact Newport house.
Salmon fishing is quite unpredictable, so whether or not there will be fish in it at that time is anyone's guess, depends upon a lot of factors, water height, weather etc.

On a recent visit to Beltra/Newport River i caught, saw, and heard of several other fish - all of which had net marks. It's a terrible shame, as it's a lovely place to fish
