D70s TTL problem?

I got a new flash unit on ebay the other day. A Yongnuo YN468 II which claims to work in TTL mode with the D70s.

It seems to work perfectly in manual mode. However in TTL mode all pictures are massively underexposed. I don't mean by a stop or so, I mean although it does fire, the flash seems to have almost no effect. The unit does detect the correct aperture & focal length from the camera/lens.

The built in flash works as expected so it's presumably not a metering issue.

Am I doing somthing wrong? Quite possible as this is my first flash but I thought TTL was pretty much plug-and-play.

I have both the camera and the flash set to TTL mode.

Solved my own problem (thankfully, as nobody else did :p )

I had the flash exposure compensation set at -3.0 :o
