If she will stand at the top each climb, then I would zoom up them, but not sure my climbing abilities would be up to this

Hi Rob, the route for the 105km on the webpage shows it going through Kilcoole but the one on Bikeroute Toaster linked from the Facebook page shows it going down the N11. Also, the Bikeroute Toaster route seems to show it going right when you hit Roundwood to climb up to the Sally gap by Lough Tay, but the one on the website shows it going left down to Rathdrum before coming back up to the Sally Gap through Laragh and Glenmacnass.

Could you confirm which way it's going to go? Will it be well signposted?

Looking forward to this - the weather's better for Wicklow than Kerry tomorrow :-)

I'd maybe like to do this but I'm not sure I could hack the climbing there.

Is there a mapmyride of the route?

Found above link which might help. But not expierienced climber so would apprecaite a commentary/encouragement on the trip over them there hills

If it is going that way then you've got Slaughter Hill out of Newtown and the climb up to Sally Gap by Lough Tay - two fairly tough climbs one after the other - but you are rewarded by going downhill pretty much the whole way to Rathdrum after that :-)

Have never done any climbing like that all. I've done 100km but it was fairly flat, not sure if I'd get round! :pac:

Only one way to find out :)

Worst that would happen is that you'll have to take more breaks, just stay in a light gear and go at your own pace up the climbs

    I'll consider it for sure.

Is there parking anywhere near the start?

You can park at Bray Dart Station - I think it's about €3 for the day

Tks OP, this wasn't in the CI calendar - think I'll pop along in the morning as weather shouldn't be too bad.

Guys apologies about the delay... Bit of last minute rushing around, and apologies on conflicting route on the web and posters ....

105 km route bray seafront to n11 to Newtown slaughter hill right in round wood luggala... Across the gap to laragh then down to rathdrum to moneystown over to roundwood back to bray...

We will have full route hand outs for all riders along with people on the climbs with refreshments at the top of the gap...

You don't need to be an experience climber it's not a race and we will get everyone up and over them in one piece... There is also bike support mechanics on route...

Food and refreshments in the Martello post cycle ... Hope to see you guys tomorrow morning...

Well done organisers - registration in the morning and kicked off around 10. goodie bag on offer but i couldnt bring it as i had cycled out . Plenty of food and water avail . nice group & pace out n11 until slaughter hill and sally gap - where it all broke up. Pretty much on my own thru rathdrum up to roundwood where groups appeared and had a good spin back to Kilmac hill . Didn't go back to bray as went home from n11 but by all accounts lots of burgers available in the martello.
