DELL XPS 15 fan noise?

    I'm buying a new laptop, I liked the look of the Dell XPS 15:
    2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5-2450M,
    6144MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM,
    1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M Graphics Card,
    500GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive

    However, the only thing that is stopping me buying it is that I have read a few complaints about the very loud fan noise, and it switching on and off repeatedly.

    Has anyone else got a DELL XPS 15 and do you find the fan noise worse than normal?

    Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I have an XPS 15 with an i3 processor and although the fan is a little noisey I was never bothered by it.

    If you're ordering make sure you get the 1080p screen. The jump in quality in terms of colour output and brightness is amazing.
