Can anyone recommend a hands free kit that will play the music on my phone (iPhone)?

Just looking to get a hands free kit that will also play my music/podcasts when driving. New to this driving lark so presume this kind of thing exists.

Is it also possible to get a holder for the iPhone which charges it as I'm using it?

Any idea how much all the above would cost to buy and install and where I would get it?

    Thanks.

The parrot 9200 kit will do all that. There's a guy on adverts who will fit it at your workplace or home.

He's very professional. Cost is around 250 fitted I think

I looked at these releatively recently

I hated the parrot kit as you have the horrible ugly display attached somewhere on your dash, I went with iQ Play system, it has its own amp thats put behind the dash and there is essentially zero attachments visable in the car bar an inch long unit with 2 small buttons.

I personally find it a far superior system if you want everything kept neat and tidy.

I would be the same,i hate attachments or gadgets stuck to the dash of a car, although that Parrot kit looks really good.

I went for a Bluetooth head unit got it around 4 years ago, didn't have it in my last car and just re fitted it to my new car - i really missed it.

Literally just finished fitting one in my car last night. Went for a cradle which will accept a standard iphone cable to the base. Then bought a data cable that splits into usb and 3.5mm jack for the auxiliary port in the radio and connected that to the holder. Works very well as once slotted into the cradle it charges and can play through the radio and is solid. Slightly expensive though, approx €75 in total but very good quality.

Here are the links for the cradle and cable, I'll get some pictures up from the car on sunday.

    Cable - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005D5B2OK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

    Holder - http://www.simplymounts.com/product-detail/18361/Apple-iPhone-4-Brodit-Holder-f.-Cable-Attachment/

Not sure if thats the exact charger cradle I bought, there's loads of options.

For the charging get a usb charger for the cig lighter or else run a hidden cable.

Just been trying to look at that. I presume you mean the IO play. Where did you buy it?

If you hate the display ( like I do...) then just fit the Mki9000. Cracking bit of stuff with no external bits bar remote and mic.

We just got those blue-tooth/USB radios from Aldi/Lidl. They're down to around 50 squids these days and we find them absolutely fine. Don't have iPhones, so don't know if it charges, but probably will if plugged into USB rather than using bluetooth. It does work with the iPhone tho, as German brother-in-law used it for his when I was driving him to the airport.
