I thought that's what it did mean i.e. anything Amazon sold themselves or fulfilled by them on behalf of a third party was eligible for free delivery once you spend £25.

Indeed. It varies. In my very limited experience some items will ship under super-saver if fulfilled by Amazon, and some will not. The only way to know is to order (almost... think you can stop before the final step). I think in either case you would get to select free shipping and might get denied on the next page.

It means the 3rd party company keeps some of their stock in an Amazon warehouse for faster/cheaper dispatch. But it's up to the company if they want to offer free international shipping or not so the normal £25 rule doesn't necessarily apply
