    I'm new to cycling and was out on my bike and I felt that my knees seem to be rising too high is this how do I fix this....?

    Your saddle might be too low. Sit on the bike while your body is supported against a wall. Backpedal to the bottom of a pedal stroke with you heels on the pedals. Your heel should just rest on the pedal at the bottom of the pedal stroke (and the same for the other side) when you push the pedal down. Move the saddle up / down until you're in that position.

    Of course when you are pedalling on a cycle the ball of the foot should be on the pedal, not the heel.

    Other people might have better ideas.

    Another general rule of thumb is when you're at the bottom of your pedal stroke (with the ball of your foot), your calves and thighs should be at roughly a 30 degree angle. Adjust your saddle accordingly

    Ya the frame size is right im 5"5 and have a trek 52" frame it's a 1.2 whatever dat means the saddle height is spot on but something isn't right I'm thinking the fore\aft position I'm over stretching slightly on the grips

    In that case either of or a combination of your seat is too far back, the stem or handlebar reach is too long, or you might just be a short back/ short arm person.
    Also for a small frame and you and average 5'5' build I would think your crank arm length should not be longer than 172.5mm. (It should be stamped on the inside of the crank arms.)
    As you are new to cycling it might just be your flexibility needs time to develop.
