Record UK channels on a Sky+ box

    There is probably a thread somewhere on this but I thought it would be handy for anyone whose Sky+HD box will no longer work after the EPG update.

    If you have a Sky+ box you can record all of the UK channels, including Channel 5, 5*, 5USA, etc. which you used not to be able to record.

    To do it:
    1. Switch the box off at the plug
    2. Remove the Sky viewing card
    3. Power on the box - the UK EPG will load.
    4. Find the program you want to watch.
    5. Insert the viewing card again
    6. Press Record on the program
    7. If you want to Series Link it, do so now.

    A few seconds (around 30 - 40) after the viewing card is inserted the Irish EPG will load.

    If you record a program and let the Irish EPG load and then attempt top Series Link it, it will not work, you need the UK EPG loaded to do this.

    As I said, I'm not sure if this is already on here, I couldn't find it, but hopefully this is of help to someone.
