ok I'm buying a new phone for my SIS as she had a baby recently and want to buy her a gift.

Galaxy ace 2 is 279 on three, xperia p is 339. Xperia p Is higher spec but seems to suffer from the death grip though. Ace 2 was just released and is a nice little phone but down on spec.

Anyone got a view on the xperia p?

I know nothing about the Xperia, but I just bought the Ace 2 and I love it. It's a great phone, good battery and does everything you can expect an android to do. My BF bought the S3 and we compared our phones and the Ace 2 does pretty much everything the S3 can do, there's just a few minor non-important differences. I would really recommend this phone, it's amazing :)

Cool thanks, have you tried the front facing camera yet for skype etc? Is it holding a good signal on 3G / WIFI?

I haven't tried it for skype, but for video calling and pictures its great :) The signal for 3G/WIFI/Phone network is perfect and everything about the phone is speedy, alot faster than my old HTC or my mam's iPhone. Nothing about the phone is slow or lacking in any way so far. And the memory is great, the spec&graphics are amazing. Any other questions? :)

Yeah :-) After switching to three I don't think I'd go with any other network, they are great :-)
