I genuinely can't see anyone else challenging. England might on home soil but their squad isn't nearly as good as Spain's or Brazil's

I have just seen the Brazil team there.

Goalkeepers: Rafael Cabral (Santos), Neto (Fiorentina)

Defenders: Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael (Manchester United), Danilo (Porto), Alex Sandro (Porto), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Juan (Inter Milan), Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo)

Midfielders: Romulo (Vasco da Gama), Ganso (Santos), Oscar (Internacional), Sandro (Tottenham Hotspur), Lucas (Sao Paulo)

Forwards: Neymar (Santos), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Hulk (Porto).

Looks very impressive, alot of first team world class players there. I think them at 9/4 is huge. Don't know if it will be there in the morning tho.

But yeah, would be a major upset if them or Spain did not win it.

    Now, even better bet potentially.

THAT Brazilian team TO QUALIFY from their group of Them, Egypt, New Zealand and belarus is 1/6...

Thats massive. Thinking of sticking 600 on it. Easy 100euro profit. No way in hell 2 teams will finish ahead of them.

Brazil have never won gold at the olympics but this must be their year. Spain are no walk over team but I can definitely see Brazil getting to the final. Going to bet on them in every game. Where is this 9/4 available may I ask? Best I can get is 2/1

That 9/4 is gone sadly. I went into pp friday afternoon and got 9/4. When i got home they were into 7/4-2/1 in places.

Can't see the price moving again, would maybe wait till the Brazil GB friendly on the 20th to see how they play.

I wish i knew more about Englands group. I dont rate them at all, far to many crap players but what are the likes of Senegal and Uruguay like

There is the Urugauy squad if its any use. Personally I think team GB will get out of the group, 1/19 to qualify with bwin, silly price really. You can get 6/4 about Uruguay winning the group with Coral, which seems to have some value.

The Senegal Olympic team beat the Spanish one in a friendly 2-0 last night. Wouldn't read too much into that, but they're obviously no pushovers to be able to do it.

I agree with you that the GB team is quite poor and they'll probably be very disjointed also, very few of their players have played with each other consistently before.

You can currently get 7/1 on Senegal to beat GB with Boylesports, and Senegal win or draw double chance at 7/4, both of which I think are amazing value.

Senegal to win 2-1 at 22/1 is excellent value too. I don't think any of those prices will last too long.

Should be very easy for them with that squad that they are bringing.
However 1/6 is for them to win the group, they are 1/25 to qualify

Have Brazil backed already, I will end up doing Spain also probably cause I will convince myself its a two horse race :(

But a bet I like is Uruguay to win a medal @ 7/4 think that is a pretty good price

Edit: the odds already mentioned for Uruguay to win their group are very good too, they have a good side, if anybody is going to trouble the two favourites it will be them

Anyone know of GBs odds for not getting out of the group, they were desperate tonight, no real creativity & their forwards aren't the greatest. If this Senegal team are as good as I've read then I think they along with Uruaguy will qualify. Brazil 13/8 now to win it with Spain at 5/2, il flip a coin and stick €40 on whoever I get as I can't pick between the two.

Best priced 11/4 not to qualify with WH. I think I would prefer to just back Uruguay to top the group at 5/4.

Paddypower are going 50/1 on Mexicos Marco Fabian to be top scorer. This represents good value imo, he is generally about 30/1 elsewhere, Mexico could surprise a few in this having won the Toulon tournament a couple of months back beating a couple of good teams along the way, Fabian was top scorer in that tournament and has 13 goals in his last 12 games for the under 23's

Mexico are in a group with Korea, Gabo and Switzerland, surely the first two will give him opportunities to grab a couple of goals anyway.

The price is too big to turn down considering they are paying 1/4 odds for top 4

Mexico should get out of the group so barring anything crazy he should have at least 4 games to score in.

What do people think of the spain winner adrian lopez top scorer double @ 16/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

Neymar to be Brazil's top goalscorer @ 11/4 on 365 is very appealing. He is their man main, everything goes through him. Has a great goal scoring record for club and country and is on pens.

I don't think Great Britain will win, but....they have an easy group and home advantage...odds of 10/1 with paddy power are good for a gamble in my opinion. It's also a completely different team from the English one that underperforms all the time in big tournaments.

I wouldn't say they have an easy group. In fact, I would say they have the hardest group as Uruguay and Senegal are both good enough to qualify also.
