Just a flick trough the live fixtures for sky and espn and they are only showing 1 home Tottenham game between August and December....wtf!!!!!

The breakdown of matches to be shown live on sky and espn is as follows
(and before you ask I dont know why I did this):

    Aston Villa 5 home, 0 away total = 5
    Arsenal 2 home, 7 away total=9
    Chelsea 4 home 3 away total=7
    Everton 3 home, 2 away total=5
    Fulham 1 home, 2 away total=3
    Liverpool 3 home, 4 away total=7
    Man City 6 home, 4 away total=10
    Man Utd 2 home, 7 away total=9
    Newcastle 2 home, 3 away total=5
    Norwich 3 home, 1 away total=4
    QPR 3 home, 1 away total=4
    Reading 1 home, 1 away total=2
    Southampton 2 home, 2 away total=4
    Stoke 1 home, 1 away total=2
    Sunderland 3 home, 2 away total=5
    Swansea 3 home, 1 away total=4
    Tottenham 1 home, 5 away total=6
    West Brom 1 home, 2 away total=3
    West Ham 3 home, 3 away total=6
    Wigan 2 home, 0 away total=2

There showing no Villa & Wigan away games, doesnt mean much TBh considering every club has at least 2 appearances on TV, naturally the bigger clubs top the bill as they're bigger draws.

Why are they showing so many West Ham games?

I forgot .........maybe Jamie has it in his contract not to go to WHL and the show cannot go on without him.

Does it really matter whether Spurs or whoever is home or away? Still getting 6 live matches.

I can understand if you're offered 6 tickets for spurs matches and 5 are away games, but it's TV. Does it make a difference?

If you are a neutral of course it doesn't matter really but as a supporter of one of the teams it makes a big difference.

When a team is playing at home then usually they are expected to go for the win, control the tempo of the match, put pressure on the other team etc. The manager will have different tactics, setup, line up.

Now when a team plays away things are different again. The away team will often look to settle for a draw, depending on who they are playing. The away manager will change tactics and will usually put and extra man in midfield. The team will look to soak up pressure and maybe snatch a goal on the counter attack or from a corner etc. etc

For example our home game against Chelsea I would expect us to go at them from the start, defend high up the pitch, keep the ball moving quickly and win the game. If we play them at Stamford Bridge I would be happy if we drew and you would see Tottenham trying to slow the game down when in possesion and play a lot of sideways and backwards passes. The main aim for the away team is not to lose.

So of course it makes a difference if its home or away.

i wouldnt panic - this will change as the season goes on and more "interesting and meaningful" games start to show themselves.
(Spurs vs Chelsea in a top of the table clash for example?:D)

Utd vs City in a relegation battle local derby!

Every clubs will get 10 live games at least anyway. To be honest it doesn't both me, I watch every game that I'm not at without any hassle through streaming sites and I prefer the traditional 3pm kick off for that and games I'm at.

Teams with large fanbases such as United, City, Newcastle, West Ham etc will always be shown more.

4 times i hope, on ESPN

Feyenoord - Ajax, Ajax - Feyenoord, Feyenoord - PSV and PSV - Feyenoord.

A few years ago, ESPN always had the Sunday lunch time match from Holland. Hope they ll do that gain now Scottish football is on its arse as Feyenoord will be playing about 13 times at that time this season.

I'm sure for a lot of Spurs supporters this is great. They can watch the home games at WHL and know that half of their away matches in the first half of the season will be live on TV. Perfect.

Can't believe Spurs have no home matches - always a great atmosphere at WHL

As a Southampton supporter, i hate it when we are shown live on tv as we rarely do well in front of the cameras.
Even last season, when we finished 2nd in Championship we struggled in games shown on television....apart from the final game of the season when we clinched promotion. :D

Not sure when they launch but they only start showing games from 2013/14.

It's a shame Sky don't show all the games like they do here in the Bundesliga.

Yes, West Ham. A lot of people, especially in this country, under estimate the size of West Ham Utd FC.

I grew up about 35 miles from the Boleyn Ground and even that far out West Ham were the most supported club by a mile. They've a huge fanbase.
