I have a dregree in electrical systems, can't find work, offered an apprenticeship??

    Hi all,
    I'm a graduate from electronic/electrical systems, and I can't get work.
    I might be offered an Electrical apprenticeship in the next couple of weeks - should I take it?
    Is there a way I can skip some phases on the apprenticeship given I already have a degree in something similar?

    Are you looking further afield than Ireland for a job that utilises your qualification? Im currently finishing my dissertation for a MSc in electrical engineering and we have been informed by a number of academics in the University that there is a severe shortage of suitably qualified engineers available thus capable engineers are finding employment quickly.

    I myself have a contract signed with a UK based engineering company since April Job begins once I have the Msc completed.
