I recently sold a quad. It was sold well below the asking price and I told the buyer about a few parts that he needed to get for it. We agreed on a price and he bought it. He rings my phone the day after he collected and paid for it asking me if I would buy the parts for it

Say no to the moron. Sale completed, caveat emptor, etc etc.Renegotiating after the cash has been handed over is fairly pointless, but there are these idiots out there.

There's always one! You could get the parts at a cost of course for him ;)

Tell him to take a long walk off a short pier. It's a private sale, he knew the score upfront and it was priced accordingly.

In fact I would just ignore his calls from now on.

Thought so. You know how it is sometimes, the quad bike (or whatever is flavour of the month) seems like the most important thing in the world to them, can barely afford it so buy a cheap one then realise that it's not such a bargain after all. I presume you were straight up with a fella that young during the sale so your obviously under no obligations...

I wouldn't be as severe as those posts, just explain that it was sold at a price that took the parts into account and there's not much you can do... Maybe point him in the right direction in where to get them or something. Lesson for him going forward!

It isn't broken and doesn't need fixing. It needs a new air filter around 15-20 euro I told him that he would need to get it before he bought it. I also told him where to get it, it isn't as if it is an exact fitting part. I reduced my rock bottom price to more than cover the part. He rings then to know would I buy the part for him.

All it needs is an air filter for €20??

Lol now you can tell him to politely ''jog on''..

an air filter!! I thought the quad only had one wheel or something!!

you shouldn't have even reduced the price to allow for the air filter!
