Push Press - Sharp Shoulder Pain

Hi, recently I've been doing push press and I get a sharp pain on the top of my left shoulder as I press.

Its not that bad if I push slowly but if I push with any speed e.g. clean and jerk its a killer.

I can bench press, snatch, power clean with no difficulty

But when I do a push press or a clean and jerk its really painful

    Any ideas?

    Trevor

Flip, and things just going good.

Better go to physio for starters.

Its more at the back of the shoulder, for example I can do front raises and lateral raises are not too bad

But, maybe its not too bad at the moment. Could get worse I suppose.

Doing cleans and snatches does not hurt I wonder is it safe to keep doing these. They form a main part of my weekly routine.

Any pain on rowing excercises or bicep curls??

Sorry OP medical advice is against the charter. Go see a GP.
