I meant to post this earlier.........

Halfords in Waterford had a Womens Team Carbon in white/pink (at least, there was pink somewhere on it, I think) with Sram Rival compact group (except for calipers, unbranded) and Askium wheels for only €800 yesterday. Dunno if it is an old model (2011 ?), or even what size it was, but that looked like a real bargain.

    ;)

and yes, it was a Carbon.

    I've got this for sale

More a touring bike but may suit for starting off too, it's mechanically very simple, one shifter, one ring, 2 brakes.

    http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/dash.2/3876/36253/

Bought last May as a starter bike, now looking to upgrade. Not sure how to post photos, but will learn, if the need arises.

Hi leecurlywurly, The Giant Dash 2 was bought for €900 in May 2011, so would be looking for between €450 & €500. Was used on average once a week (about 20km), a few duathlons & Tryathy.

Location wise - in North Co Dublin, if interested.
