    Hi all

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Does anyone know of the protocall in which you apply abroad to be treated/have surgery? Do you go through your doctor or apply to a particular hospital. If anyone has any experience please help me out. Just heard some life shattering news and I need to investigate all options before I can accept this.

    Thanks.

My experience is only with people having radiation therapy abroad. There are a number of defined groups of patients for whom it is deemed appropriate. The funding has to be applied for by the consultant treating the patient. For radiation therapy you can't choose where you go - there are links with specific hospitals for specific treatment sites.
