Setting media server software to share files with tv?

    Trying to set up Swedish tv from my laptop to the tv. It's telling me 'file not shared, set the media server software to share files with the tv'. It gives me the IP address. Any idea how to do this? I'm in windows media centre on the laptop but don't know how to do it? I have a Philips Smart TV with wireless internet. Thanks.

    Download TVersity, far easier to get everything working correctly than WMC

    Nope, the free version covers most options that you'd need, great piece of software I find.

    I tried downloading it but when I go to run it it asks me for the license key and billing e-mail address? Had to buy a licence key for the free version. Mind you, it was only $3.99 so a small price to pay if it works! Will try it this evening!

    Banging my head off a wall here! I've loaded it and on the TV I can choose myPC - TVersiry media server. When I select that I get audio, photo, video, tags. If I select internet, it tells me there are no playable files in the folder :confused: What am I doing wrong?
