What type of grease do you all generally use around the farm yard for tractors, machinery etc. ?
We always used general purpose grease pale-brown in colour..
Just was working on a farm in the uk and i see a lot are using royal purple lithium grease?
    Any advantages to this stuff?
Also whats your greasing intervals on your tractors and machinery? Hourly or just every few weeks??

Royal Purple is just a brand name I think.
Can you get it in Ireland ?

Fair few lads, with expensive tractors, wouldn't be able to lay their hands on a grease gun, if you asked them, considering it is so long since they last used it:D

Always used JCB Lithium MPL-EP grease. good value when you buy it in bulk.

i buy a drum (i thinks its 12.5 kg) and have a mcnaught pump to pump it into the grease guns. find there is a lot less waste with it compared to the cartiages the whole time. its always castrol is what I get because thats what cfm stock. it depends how much work a machine is doing but normally do everything every 20 clock hours or on a wet day.

for oils its maxol brand i use because its maxol we get the diesel off so just tell them to bring a barrell of eng oil or hydraulic oil or whatever with them.
