Court Summons Wrong Address

    Hi all,

Just a quick question for all the legal eagles out there.

If a court summons arrives in my name at an address i am no longer resident at, and can prove as much, am I obliged to answer it? Are the current owner/occupiers of the address obliged to inform me? Would this depend on my relation ship, i.e. parents/landlord.

Thanks in advance, and please let me know if you might need anymore information.

I woudn't worry about anything happening as regards the summons (will get thrown out of court) my brother got one a few weeks ago for using his phone and driving he admitted the charge but judge threw it outta court because wrong address was on the summons ,as for answering it I am not sure do you have to be in court as the summons says to "answer" it ?

And this, folks, is why there is a "no legal advice" rule in the charter. Just plain wrong advice.

    I disagree with Mr Deeds

talk to a solicitor practising in the court named in the summons
