Hi, just wondering what kind of stuff you have at your comic expo asides from opportunity to meet illustrators and artists? E.g are there stalls, comic book vendors etc? Thanks a lot :)

D.I.C.E. (Dublin International Comic Expo) There'll be small press, back issue specialists etc. What you'd normally get at a show on top of the guests.

sorry, thats meant to say they haven't released details of dealers yet.

It looks like it should be a good show alright. Hopefully they'll have some interesting events beyond the normal "whats up at dc/marvel" fare. Shame they've not much space for small press but a shared table is a better idea than making smallpressers pay dealer rates.

I'm a bit surprised it's gotten this far along without details going out for traders. I know that for a good few non uk folk the date announcement came too late because its too near a new uk con that has Alan Moore as a guest. Hopefully it'll all be sorted in time.

tickets will be available from the big bang from friday 7 september.15 euro for 1 day pass or 20 euro for weekend pass.also on the bigbang.ie pj holden, john mccrea and ben mccool are also listed as appearing.its a hell of a line up.

That's great, I was wondering what admission prices would be like as a couple of past Dublin comic cons have been decidedly on the pricey side but considering the line-up €15 for the day isn't bad at all.

Sounds like it went pretty well from the reports I've seen. The report on bleedingcool mentioned that Declan Shalvey was giving away free sketches - anyone get one?

It was a fun con for guests and Punters alike.
Declan had a heck of a cue all weekend. And he scribbled like no ones business. Some great Thunderbolts characters going out.

And some great news for Irish talent with Stephen Mooney announcing Half past Danger going out from IDW next year.
And there was a free pin up for everyone in the audience.

His report on the Half Past Danger Panel.

He also did this for some lucky punter.

That GL piece is lovely :) And yeah, I read Mooney's blog posts about Half Past Danger a few months back (I think after finding his posts about using Manga Studio compared to Photoshop) and it sounds like a lot of fun, so it's good to hear he's found a publisher for it.

Talks of it involving Valkyrie and a team while the opposing camp think it may be Daredevil seeing as Waid is moving onto the Indestructible Hulk
