    Hi all!

I am going to cancel my Sky subscription, but only after I find a (single) set top box that can do the following:

    - Play DivX etc files from my Ethernet LAN (not just USB!)
    - Receive Free to Air satellite (Hotbird/Astra)
    - Receive Saorview (can be via a USB (unapproved) Saorview stick)
    - (Optional:) Can play Netflix or ILoveFilms via a plugin

I am sure somebody must have been searching for the same, and I hope that person can give me tips on which hardware to get?

    Cheers,
    Chris

    I'm searching for the same.

one way to be able to do them all with a single remote and single interface is to have boxee and slingbox and every other box under the sun connected and being interfaced with boxee. Way too expensive and would take up a lot of room.

HTPC is your best bet for that combination at the moment.

A Vu Plus box will do all that except the Netflix part.....will take a bit of setting up but it'll work fine
