British Eurosport 1 and 2 Going HD On SKY From July 25th

British Eurosport will launch a HD simulcast channel on the Sky platform from July 25th. This will be followed some five weeks later by the launch of British Eurosport 2 HD, meaning both channels will be fully HD on the Sky platform for the first time.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky’s Brand Director, TV Products, said, “Adding HD versions of both British Eurosport channels to HD channel line-up further underlines Sky’s leadership in high definition TV, with more than 60 HD channels now available to Sky customers. We’re also delighted to be continuing to build on our partnership with Eurosport, which later this month will see Sky customers get to experience the first ever Olympics in immersive 3D, as Eurosport’scomprehensive 3D coverage of the Games is broadcast on Sky 3D.’

In my opinion it is a backwards step to have British Eurosport HD replacing the Eurosport HD there currently

It is ,no doubt of that,Eurosport HD has superior coverage .
Eurosport 2 HD will be good though.

Eurosport 2HD seems to have gotten rid of Eurosport News .
It used to run that every 15 minutes when it had nothing else to show.
Very disappointing its gone ,it was very good .
Anyone know if its still running on the European versions ?
