    Ok Folks, High tide is for today and tomorrow ,4th and 5th of July 2012.
    5.3 metres in Galway Bay. I know old people near me, who swear by the tide when it comes to predicting the weather. I laughed when I heard it first, but then I started watching them. Weather nearly always turns bad with the coming of the high tides.

    It should get better after the next couple of days. :D High tides bring the winds with it and so the rain. Makes sense when you think about it. 75% of the earths atmosphere sits on the oceans which move back and forth every day with the tides.

    From Ken Ring;
    Highest tides are often accompanied by low air pressure systems, followed by an upwardly trending barometer. Some of the highest tides worldwide for several decades occurred on 4 June 2008 (new moon, perigee, and northern declination). Sydney got 46mm of rain that day and Auckland, 21mm. In Dublin that day, air pressure and dew point skyrocketed downward, and the temperature was lowest for the month.

    The same spoofer forecaster that predicted two fine weeks end of June, I think I'll pass.

    I have about 10 days of grass left. A filed of thistles that I was going to spray, at worst top. Rushes i want to spray. Land too wet to drive on now. Pour-on ready to go on calves. Silage ready to cut.
    You'd seriously wonder is it worth it sometimes.

    June and October are likely to be the driest months.

    Case closed :D

    June was the wettest on record.

    I'm with Met Eireann on this long range buggery, it's not accurate and only get's peoples hopes up.

    Hang in there pakalasa. It'll change...sometime. Victory to the last man standing...or woman (which it usually is):D

    For those of us lucky enough to be in a day job we can't complain, its the full time guys I feel sorry for.

    Was back around Mallow Sunday, some guys with grain crops look in big trouble some fields looked in complete sh*t.

    When I see the goats heading for the hills I'll break out the shorts again!! Tides are very very high at the moment. Went fishing at six this morning and had to move away from my usual spot because the sea was level with it.
