I'm looking at getting a big photobook made up and am currently leaning towards going with one of these......
    http://www.blurb.com/ Vs http://fotoinsight.co.uk/

anyone have any thoughts on which might be better?
I'm specifically keen to pick one that has good options for self-designing the page layouts including being able to add text if possible

    all opinions much appreciated.
    thanks

Can't comment on fotoinsight as haven't used them.

Have used Blurb 3 times though and would definitely recommend them. Create an account and download the free booksmart software and have a play with it. You can create the book virtually for free and see how you like it. Fully customizable for text etc.

    cheers

(ps - I do not work for blurb :P )

edit: took a quick look at that other site, the blurb book may be more expensive.

I have used Fotoinsight's Irish site http://fotoinsight.ie/ for photo books as well as canvas prints with no faults. The process is easy to use and to order. I liked the lay-out and design tools and found them more flexible than other photo book applications I have used.

Verdict: Mid price segment and reasonable turnaround time. Worth a try.
