Just wondering in yer opinions where's the best place to buy pheasants? Unfortunately we had to take our pen down this year so we have no birds of our own.

Birds would have to be used to the field, not just reared in a pen & preferably birds that have been hunted also.

I was talking to him the other day about day olds and he said he can't guarantee them that he is nearly booked out but I was looking for a good few off him. He said ring back in 3 or 4 weeks and he will know for definite how he is fixed. There is supposed be a scarcity this year in birds because it was a bad breeding season or something

Thats the problem. Its hard to know what your getting is worth the money. The birds we got last year were like tail-less rats, out of the few lads that were involved in it none of us shot any of them, food for foxes I reckon! :(

We have always got good birds from finn valey in Donegal , the only problem is if he tells you he will be there at 9am you might not see him till 6-7 that night, thats why we changed, i had to wait around all day for the birds 2 years in a row so one of the lads gets them else where , but one thing is for sure you couldnt fault the birds the man gave us.
