As far as I know make of 2.5 Sata Hard Drive should work as a replacemnet, is this correct?

Can anyone direct me to the best place to by a replacement. I was thinking ebay but some ppl more in the know here might be able to point to a better place..

    Many Thanks

I bought a 500 gb toshiba external sata drive from peats.com for 79.95.euro.
I pulled out the drive from the enclosure and fitted it to my laptop. Its a great price for a fairly high capacity drive.

When did You purchase it? I think more than 4 months ago, cuz Peats are closed down since that time. 2 months ago bought 2.5 hdd in external enclosure (500GB), pulled out the drive from enclosure, but had totally different connection so can't fit into laptop and had to get 2.5 hdd in PC WORLD
You can purchase hdd in PC WORLD, HARVEY NORMAN (not too sure), ebay and adverts.
    Hope it helps
