    Hi all,
First time poster, long time reader and really grateful for all the posts I have read as it has helped so much along the way.
We are building 2700sq foot converted bungalow with velux windows upstairs. The house will have a high spec of insulation eg. triple glazed1.2 ,air tight, 0.12 floors,0.1-0.13 roof, 0.12 walls
Hoping to go underfloor heating downstairs with possibly Air to water system with buffer tank and separate domestic hot water tank. We will also have a stove. Upstairs radiators running off the stove
So my question is does anyway have an approx cost per year of running ATW system based on a similar building spec or even just the cost of running ATW system per year. I have read a lot of stories about the ATW system going into defrost mode and making massive ESB bills.Any advice?any experiences re-this please?especially considering the last few winters particularly 2 years ago?
I would be expecting to run it on the night time ESB rate as advised.
I know people are going to say go geothermal but financially this is not viable.
Also I know people will advise high insulation levels and this is most deff our number one priority trust me!
    Really appreciated
