card trick is working 100%

After an hour of messing about with adding channels and setting fav and swapping 3 different card I can confirm I have it working.

Its like before the only difference is I now also have access to all my added channels via blue button

I just tried it. Extra channels are only available through blue button/favourites. I cant see them on the EPG? They are record-able etc, but would love to know how to get them back on the EPG!

Got it working with the blue button/favs also but can't get them on the EPG. How did you do it?

rebooted box with FTV card
added channels to favourites
went to tv guide
removed ftv card
put in sub card
all the channels are there


I have an other box I will force an update on it and try it.

Nope, still not showing up in main EPG, just through favourites/blue button.

This has messed up my favourites with several channels appearing twice. UTV appears twice in my list of favourites as does channel 5. RTE 1 and RTE 2 appeared in the EPG twice and in the favourites until I switched off the box and switched it back on again, but the doubling up of favourites remained. The extra channels appear in the favourites list when I access it through option, and also through the blue button, but not the EPG

Amstrad drx 890 has been updated, but can't get trick to work anymore. Have followed your method but no joy, whem I re-insert irish sub card i lose most of my favourites, it will not store c5, 5usa etc. Have rebooted several times, they are all stored with ftv card in place but lose all when card is removed. Any ideas anyone

No matter what I try to do, I can't get rid of this channel duplication on the EPG. I have two RTE 2 HD's, 2 SkyOne HD's and 3 Dave HD's on the EPG

My second box is working also.

I did update, with ftv card in set fav ch's and added to other channels removed Ftv did not power off inserted sub card all is working now.

I did a forced update on my Amstrad DRX890 the other day and nothing happened. Maybe they are only permitting bacthes (based on serial number) to receive the update?

Has any one else got this working yet?

can someone try do a up date with the FTV card in and see if that is the problem as I used mine for both box updates and all is good on both.
