Wrong Course Code!

The CAO sent me a letter confirming my course choices after the 1st July. However on the letter they had the award from my FETAC course listed as RAXXX whereas according to the PLC center it should be 5M2011.

From what i've been able to find out the code RAXXX is given for a record of achievement and not a full award. Does anyone have more information on this subject?

I would suggest that you write to the CAO, enclosing a copy of your full award results, assuming that you got a full award. Best of luck

What is the code on your Fetac cert? Where did you see the college code?

I've emailed the CAO asking them about this. I didn't receive any cert yet as I only finished the course in early May. I received my results which was eight distinctions but no cert yet.

Should I have received a cert?

The college code is on the site (www.galwaycc.ie) and I emailed them to ask as well. It's definitely 5M2011

The code on the website is for the coming year. You should be safe enough. It was not possible to offer this code last year. A statement of results should be available from the college we posted ours last week to our students. Good luck with cao course application.

Well I did receive a statement of results last week but no certificate of any sort yet. I'm presuming I shouldn't have received a certificate yet.

What is the code on the top of your statement of results ?
FETAC is changing the codes for courses at the moment and 5M2011 is the new code and 5M2011 would have only been issued by private providers in the last year - your code should have been EPAMX.

You really need to send a copy of your results to the CAO asap. Normally your results are transferred from FETAC to CAO but they seem to have you down as RAXXX and not as the code for the FETAC award you completed, assuming you

Your certificate will either be issued at a graduation or sent out to you but your statement of results will be sufficient for the moment.

Okay, there is no course code on any of the results I have received. According to my college the course code is 5M2011 but they haven't confirmed that the original code was EPAMX. I'll have to call them and ask for something sent out in a letter to confirm this.

I'm hoping to study Multimedia in DCU. I've emailed them as well asking about the course codes.
