You should be grateful for it to be pending.
Last cashback I got took five months from purchase to payment.

    they are a joke
I have a claim with hotels.com going back to January.
Fatcheese wont respond to my queries.

I booked another hotel on hotels.com via Fatcheese 2 nights ago
Will be interesting to see if it tracks..

Myself and the bf booked a hotel in London through Fatcheese last Feb, we got the cashback in May.

I placed an order with Debenhams through Fatcheese about a month ago, and it's not showing on my account so I opened up a ticket and haven't heard from them.

I ordered something from SalonSkincare in Nov 2011, got the cashback in June just gone.

Their contact, or lack thereof is abysmal.

    I've a Hotels.com claim pending for a Chicago stay in December 2011.

Ticket raised but nothing from them.

    P1ss poor tbh.

Im waiting on a claim from January 2012 and anything I've bought through the site in the past few months has needed a claim to be manually raised after a week or so. They dont respond to my tickets and Ive never been able to contact anyone via the online chat.

    Pants.

I've bought things from various websites, went through Fat Cheese each time and none of those are showing in my account.

I opened up a ticket in June for one purchase and two more tickets in July for other purchases, neither have been responded to.

    Disgraceful carry-on by Fat Cheese.

I just stopped buying anything through fat cheese.
Im afraid that they maybe getting paid but simply not paying us... so reducing any chance of that happening by simply not using them..

    Im gonna give bethrifty ago.

I too have found fatcheese to be very poor. I bought a Dell computer through them last September; one year on and I am still awaiting the cashback. I have no response from them about it; in fact, any time I have opened an account or made an online purchase through them, I have had to open a claim. Even pigsback are better than this crowd. Avoid!

I found Fatcheese to be great in the beginning however their customer service - or lack of to be more precise - is abysmal.

Luckily I've gotten some cashback over the past few weeks but they never seem to reply to any tickets / queries.

I've also had a few transactions not show up at all - never got any replies to queries regarding this, so I've given up on them for now.

Pity as they used to be great.

Hi, how long it actually take to recieve the amount in bank after the cash back is awarded and withdrawn. i have certain amount withdrawn on 25th August but not turned out in bank yet. though they claim only 3 working days required for that in their website.

    I have this problem too.

I went through Fat cheese for three orders, one for Dorothy perkins, one for Missguided and one for Debenahams.

I opened the ticket for the Debenhams order in June and two other tickets in August and no reply or contact from them yet and the orders/clicks still aren't showing up on my account.

I received an email from Fat Cheese today too, about E15 cash back and free delivery with Superquinn with your first order.

    Scandalous carry on.

I purchased the recent Sky TV deal through fatcheese. €135 cashback was primary reason and was factored into my figures for the cost of the service for the year.

The transaction has not appeared on my account and fatcheese will not respond to my claim or tickets.

Absolutely disgraceful behavour and customer service. I am going to send an email to Sky's marketing department and advise them to cease their arrangement with fatcheese.ie

In the meantime, based on my experiences and those of others, I would advise all thinking of using fatcheese.ie not to do so!

I signed up yesterday, but I won't be using it, all the sites are UK retailers pretty much, so that was odd...... Why do some of you guys not contact the consumers association regarding the lack of cashback and service?

got some money paid up today so they are still working

unfortunately still waiting for other transactions to clear which are taking very long

I logged into my Fatcheese account this morning to check if there was any update on my tickets, no updates/responses to my tickets, but they have this notice up. Not sure how long it's been up as I only saw it today.

Has anyone else has any responses to tickets?
Many apologies for the delay in responding to your query. A new ticket system is due to be launched week commencing 15th October. Our new customer service team will also be able to help you with all your queries. Our sincere apologies once again.

If you are unable to find an answer to your question in our help section, please submit a ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I submitted a ticket in Aug 2011 for the purchase made on april 2011.
    I haven't used them since.

I received a couple of payments this week, but on the merchants' pages it still says 'Last payment received on 01 Aug for transactions made before 12 Jun'. These were originally estimated to be paid in September before they took all the estimated pay dates off their site. The companies in question previously had a history of paying up early or on time.

I've been taking my cash back out as soon as it is rewarded after reading about various UK cashback sites going bust on the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum. Fatcheese are now giving the option of a €0.25 fee for immediate transfer to Bank of Ireland accounts or to wait for them to do a batch of transfers twice a month for free, so I might go back to withdrawing to Paypal.

Id advise not using the bank transfer method for any payments you are lucky enough to get from fatcheese, as I did it twice with bank transfer before (about €15 worth) and never showed up in my bank account.

    Paypal works fine though.

They are slow! I bought car insurance with AA through them in June 2011, only got the cashback in April this year. Still, at least I got it... wish the €100 or so I currently have pending would clear so I can spend it on silly stuff.

Did you withdraw to bank or paypal or what?

Bank I think at the time, didn't need anything at the time that I could use Paypal for.

Anyone else having any problems lately with Bank transfers? I requested a transfer to my bank on the 23rd but still shows as Pending in my Withdraw history, done 4 transfers to bank in the past and all showed up in my bank in a couple of days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,822 ✭✭✭sunbeam

My Netflix cashback bank transfer went through in three days last week, but I had opted to pay the 25 cent fee to have it put through immediately rather than waiting for the free twice monthly transfer option.

Anyone else using Chrome getting a warning when trying to withdraw cashback from fatcheese? It keeps telling me the security certificate is expired. Anyone else having the same problems?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,613 ✭✭✭Toast4532

I am still waiting for those transactions to go through, a couple of weeks ago I placed an order with cheapsmells and UPC and neither are showing on my account.

Some orders I placed last year still aren't showing on my account.

There is no contact details or anything on their website.

You will need to open a Claim with them, check in Clicks to confirm that it's track there that you use their link, once is there you can open the claim, as with everything with fatcheese will take weeks/months to get resolved.

All done, I have claims pending from May 2012! I hold zero hope of ever getting them.

I am waiting on €70 from a UPC transaction to show up....! That transaction was three weeks ago!

Anyone just simply not getting a response from FatCheese? They've ignored my past three claims for cashback, one of which was very large so that's very annoying! I've also got 2 cashback payments that have been PENDING for almost half a year.

Any other way to get in touch with them?

Can only assume so. So annoying as I had alternatives to use and chose them. Bad form not to get back to people, if they're still going, or inform people if they're not.

Fatcheese still very, very slow, have several pending transactions from last year. All tickets remain unanswered. Terrible service.

    Same as that myself.

Hopefully the service will start picking up soon.

Have a claim in since 1st January and no response whatsoever, guess its time to add to my 'avoid' list.:(

I got a response on an open ticket. They replied once asking for more info and not since. Tried to join them on facebook and request is pending.

withdrawal of over 100 euro which i requested 6 weeks ago is still showing as pending despite me agreeing to pay the 25 cent for next day processing.

    AVOID

It's a disgrace. I've a lot of money pending on that site. Money I could've claimed from elsewhere, but I chose FatCheese instead. Annoying thing is they're not even bothering to reply.

    FROM APRIL 2013

    Dear Member,
As you will be all too aware the service we at Fatcheese have provided you over the last few months has not been acceptable. Quite simply we have let you and ourselves down and I would like to take the opportunity to firstly apologise for the delay in sending out this message, and secondly to ask you to please accept our most sincere apologies for the difficulties and inconvenience this has caused.
At Fatcheese, we strive for the perfection of our service and ensuring the satisfaction of our members. Unfortunately, due to several problems we have encountered, a number of issues you have been experiencing slipped through process. We guarantee that we will not let this problem persist.
Fatcheese makes no money from transactions made on the site - we pass on all commission that is paid to us back to you. This is why there is a delay between you making the transaction and us paying you as we simply can't award cashback until we have received the payment ourselves. The site was set up to help people during this economic downturn and not for any other reason - we simply wanted to help others. Last year the site grew very quickly and for us to cope with the influx of tickets/claims we outsourced the customer service side where we thought we'd be providing our members with a much better user experience.
This back fired. The service we used simply wasn't doing the job we wanted of them. Unfortunately due to a number personal issues I did not pick up on these problems when I should have and for that I apologise once more. To ensure that this does not happen again, we are moving all services back to the in-house team to return us to the high-level of quality and service our customers deserve.
To compound matters further, over the last few weeks we've experienced issues with our bank where payments we have processed have not gone through. I've been advised that this issue will be resolved next week and all payments will be processed as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me directly at complaints@fatcheese.ie. Please note I may not be able to reply to you instantly as my main aim is to resolve all outstanding issues and get the site to back to where it should be.
You are an important and crucial member of the Fatcheese family and we value your service. As such we'd like to invite a select number of members to test out a brand new design and system. Something that will make the site easier to use and also stop issues arising again. If you'd be interested in doing so please could you send an email to tester@fatcheese.ie.
Please allow us a little time to get back up-to-date with any outstanding tickets and claims. I personally guarantee these issues will be resolved.
    My sincere apologies once again.
    Kindest regards,
    Ahmed
    Fatcheese Co-Founder

    then
FROM a couple of weeks later

    Dear Member,
I just wanted to give you a quick update regarding payments.
The issue we've been experiencing over the last few weeks with our bank was finally resolved at 14:30 today. We are currently in the process of sending through all payments. Each of these needs to be done individually so that we can get them through as quickly as possible and we hope to be finished within the next 72 hours.
We're also in the process of chasing up any outstanding claim.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me directly at complaints@fatcheese.ie. Please note although I will get back to you it may take a few days to do so while I get other things resolved.
    Many thanks for your patience.
    Kindest regards,
    Ahmed
    Fatcheese Co-Founder

That seems to be the way they operate these days.
