Ok, so our accommodation for plans for next week (Willy Clancy festival) haven't worked out

Any suggestions of BnB or similar that might have a double room free gratefully received.

Failing that, how long does it take to drive from Ennis to Miltown? (grr ...)

Yes, I know we're probably out of luck. Figured that it couldn't hurt to ask anyway ...

It's about a half an hour's drive from Ennis to Milltown, not the best road in the world.

The Bellbridge seems to have rooms next week at €150 a night

Look for places advertising in smaller villages around it. We stayed in a place called Mullagh when we went to the festival, which is only a few miles away, though we rented a house for the week.

Total rip off prices. Try further out as suggested towards Lahinch, Ennistymon or Liscannor. Miltown is only 15-20min drive from there.

Don't they have an accomodation office for next week? Should be on the website.
Try the Quilty Tavern. It's about 5-6km south of Miltown. 065 7087164.
