Something which I always pay attention to is the statistics I have in iTunes, like the most played, least played, most recent added, oldest songs, etc. in my library. I'm pretty sure that all media players keep note of this info, so why not share it amongst us hip hop boardsies. I'll start off:

Bear in mind, I have 2 machines (without home sharing) that I do most of my listening on. The following are from my machine in work. This obviously doesnt include stats from my iPod or iPad!

Most Played Track: Cecil Otter - Demon Girl - 35 times
Least Played Track: Miles Jones - Hardcore PJ - 0 times
Most Recently Added Album: J.A.E. - Fruition
First Album added: El-P - Collecting The Kid & Glue - Catch As Catch Can
    First Artist Alphabetically: Ab-Soul
Last Artist Alphabetically: 7L & Esoteric
    Longest track - Stretch & Bobitoo Re-Union Show - 4:57:34
    Shortest Track - Evidence - ...
    First Alphabetical Track - A.E.O.C. - Edan
    Last Alphabetical Track - Evidence - ...

Mc's Act Like They Don't Know - Krs On
We Don't Care - Kanye West

A lot of my top 25 was not hip-hop. I only listen to music directly on my laptop when my iPod is broke/out of battery/shower/makeshift speakers so this is not a wholly accurate top 14.

My iPod is mainly on shuffle of my top rated so the stats from that are not really accurate either.

I had to move my music from one laptop to the house computer and back onto my new laptop a few months back. As a result I lost all of my stats. About 1 year my most listened to song was "Still DRE". I'd listened to it about 130 times. That's equivalent to listening to it for 10 hours straight.

I've got loads of albums that are down as being never played, yet over the years I've probably listened to them 50 times straight through. I'll just leave this picture here. It's a screengrab of my top played songs since November.

    scaled.php?server=826&filename=ituneswt.png&res=landing

For a slightly better idea of my stats you can have a look at my Last.fm profile. I find it completely useless at times. Some days it decides to update my stats and other times it just ignores them completely. It's not 100% accurate but it gives you some idea.

Ignore the fact that it says I've listened to songs from 2001 over 1,100 times. That was mainly as a result of being too lazy to switch songs after listening to Still DRE.

There are some really bad ones in there that I'm ashamed of. I haven't listened to any Rick Ross or Lil Wayne in well over 2 years.

    8. Paul (skit) - Eminem, 57
    9. Benz or Beamer- Outkast, 54
    10. On and On- Shyheim, 54
    11. Fu-gee-la- Fugees, 51
    12. If I ruled the world- Nas ft Lauryn Hill , 49

Wow, according to iTunes I've listended to Frank Ocean's Bad Religion 80 times since Tuesday morning. Struggling to believe there isn't a glitch there - I haven't had that much free time.

    Anwway, my top-5 is

    1. Raekwon - House of Flying Daggers (215 plays)
    2. Frank Ocean - Songs for Women (200)
    3. Door Man - The Clipse (182)
    4. Frank Ocean - Swim Good (181)
    5. Raekwon - New-Wu (178)
    6. Jay-Z - Big Pimpin (171)
    7. Big Boi - Fo Yo Sorrows (170)
    8. Damian Marley & Nas - Strong Will Continue (168)
    9. K'naan - T.I.A. (167)
    10. General Patton (164)

I've only been using iTunes since circa 2009 so hence the prevalence of post 2009 albums. It would be scary to think how many hours/days I had spent listening to Big Pimping if play count tracking went back to 99!

The day that "Stronger" by Kanye West came out on cd way back in '07 I went down and bought it. I went back home and played it 25 times in a row. I couldn't believe my ears. It's not the greatest song of all time but I was blown away by it that day.

I almost can't listen to it now because of that.

Missed a few years when I didn't use le old Last.fm much, so there is a gap, this is most of what I listen to when I'm online. Doesn't include cd's in the car, songs on my phone etc. But its a fair summary of what I listen to TBH

It shows fast lane as my most listened to hip hop track, I went crazy for it last summer, but I'd say if it was accurate from going back years with no gaps What's the Difference would be miles ahead of it
