The Great American Bash tonight on SD live

    Teddy Long is GM

Layla and the Great Khali vs. Aksana and Antonio Cesaro

20-Man Great American Bash Battle Royal
This all-star battle royal will feature John Cena, WWE champion CM Punk, world champion Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, the Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and 14 more WWE superstars.
This battle royal will certainly be special, as the winner will become the general manager of SmackDown for one night only, presumably next week.

    Partial Source: Pwinsider
    – Damien Sandow, Christian, Tensai, Santino Marella and Tyson Kidd all qualified for the WWE SmackDown Money in the Bank match on last week’s edition of SmackDown. WWE confirmed on RAW that more qualifying matches will take place on Tuesday night’s LIVE SmackDown!. As of last week, there were plans to have nine superstars involved in the match. Obviously, plans can change.

So who do people think are going to make it into the ladder match then? I hope Rey returns.

I think Rhodes will get in , probably a match against Otunga.

    Barrett, Rhodes and Otunga

Cody Rhodes really needs that push to main card status. Wade Barrett is never on T.V though?

Hmm, is Dolph Ziggler not gonna somehow make his way into the title match again at this one?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 15,581 Mod ✭✭✭✭Furious-Red

Yea id say Barrett, Rhodes and Ziggler will get in . Hopefully they dont do "due to the attack from Tensai Tyson Kidd wont be able to compete " so some gets his spot

Whenever I see him I always think of that angle where he was going to pretending he had Cancer, stuff like that tends to stay in your head.
Here comes AJ cute and vivacious?
She must be one of few who's character has been allow to develop in the last few years.

Dolph and Rhodes qualified for MITB and Teddy is having a lame unentertaining party.

Christ, CM Punk has no respect for himself. How does Daniel Bryan taste? Even drunk in a club on a Saturday night you should know better!

Storyline has entered 'meh' territory. Pity.

Hope the Battle Royal is good.

Knew once Cena went that Ryder had it. :/

    Who is GMing Raw though?

just watched it there now and all i can say is what a comeback from Cena in the battle royal, getting pounded 3 on 1 and in the blink of an eye he'd turned it around and even flattened Kane with the AA, how a man with such recovery powers couldnt win, amazes me.

Haven't seen it yet. But I heard Alberto cut promo that didn't mention his destiny.

So no Jericho or Sheamus in the battle royal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,566 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I noticed Layla got a wee feel of Aksanna when pinning her. Getting to be a habit with her.

Ever notice these parties backstage seem to be attended by superstars we never see on Smackdown? There were 2 or 3 I didn't recognise. I was sure Teddy was going to tell Eve that she'd better take off the dress.

And Ryback's down to one guy now. At last he's wrestlng a fulltimer. Probably be Reks next week then handicap match against both at MitB.

How many more times can Sheamus be "viciously assaulted" by Del Rio?

I thought it was a really good beat down. I find both neither here nor there in terms of being interesting but that had real heat to it.

    Agreed

Yeah one of the few times it looked believable that the subject of the beat down was actually hurt afterwards.

Good to see Ryder getting a bit of a push again. Although it'll mean nothing if they forget about him again the following week!

Imagine if Del Rio beat down Ziggler. Ziggler would sell it so well they would have to have a funeral! :pac:

I actually hate those WWE holiday parties so much, they look so lame.

Apart from that though, it was a pretty good Smackdown this week. Although I would have liked to have seen Del Rio win the Battle Royal instead of Ryder. They could have done a lot more with him as GM, such as tormenting Sheamus for the whole night with match after match. Instead, we'll probably just get some silly backstage segments from Ryder with a few matches announced from him here and there.
