Using Oz phone in Asia?

    Just wondering if anyone knows if it is worthwhile topping up my vodafone pre pay phone to use it in Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam) or will it work over there? I know I've got reception in Singapore airport before but not when back in Ireland.

    Roaming charges would be huge. Prob better off getting a local sim if you need to stay in contact. Pretty cheap over there.
