    Hey,

After seeing Frankel's races so far this year I checked the other wins he had online and i decided to go onto ATR to check record/etc.

I noticed that he will or could be racing a 1mf2 @ York in August and I was wondering do any of you think he could handle it.

Since he has only raced 1 mile races so far, i would hazard a guess that it could be a challenge for him. I'd say he could win it though. Whats your thoughts?

His brothers seem to get 12f to a certain extent, but they're not GP1 horses at that trip. Noble mission is a good solid 10 to 12f Gp horse. Bullet Train despite winning a poor Lingfield Derby Trial over 1m 3 1/2f has never since looked like he can even stay 10f in GP races or even handicap company. He does have the speed to pacemake for Frankel.

Frankel has easily beaten future Irish Derby and King George winners as a two year old. He hasn't looked like he's stopping at the end of any of his recent races.

He'd definitely stay 10f in an uncompetitive Gp 1 race, he could just cruise the race and only race under pressure for a furlong or two. An end to end gallop with top 10f horses like So You Think in the race would seriously test his stamina.

He won't get a serious challenge in the Juddmonte, it'll be a penalty kick for him. So You Think will probably be retired by then, Cirrus Des Aigles is in trouble over drugs and there's no sign of anything else turning up for the race that could trouble him.

He'd beat So You Think handily over 1m2f.

I'd love to see him in the Arc, or conversely even drop down to 6f for the July Cup.

The Arc is 1M4F which would be seriously pushing it, especially as it tends to be one of the strongest G1 races of the year over that trip. No chance of him running in that. I do think he'll get 1M2F no problem though. Would be nice to see himself and Camelot go head to head at that trip but it probably won't happen. He may well get nothing but penalty kicks from here on as he's scared off the challengers at this stage.
