I feel he deserves one now also since if we saturate the **** out of this market then they will all go away soon!

His playing career he made 312 league appearances for Real Madrid over a 14 year spell, winning 5 league titles and 4 Copa Del Reys and was capped 18 times by Spain, but it is his managerial career where he has created his legacy

He first got to manage Madrid in 1994 briefly and took charge of one league game in 1996, he took over properly from John Toshak in 1999.

He led Madrid through a great period of success, one of their best ever periods in football in fact, not since the 50's and 60's had Madrid been so consistently successful, in his four years he won 2 La Liga's, 2 Champions League titles, a Spanish Super Cup, Uefa Super Cup and never failed to reach at least the semi finals of the CL.

He managed some of the biggest personalities in the game and made them into a winning team, his win % was great too winning a total of 104 out of a possible 186 games. He is famed for his humble unassuming style and manner and has always conducted himself very well.

Just after he won the league in 2003 he was sacked from Real Madrid in one of the craziest managerial changes in history! A testement to his achievements as manager are that regardless of the money spent on players and coaches to replace none have managed to surpass him, they may have the man to do so now in Mourinho, but he is a special one also. I also dont see it happening :)

He had a spell with Besiktas also, but breaking the dominance of the big two over there did not work out for him and he left, he was soon offered the Mexican managers job and a minimum salary of 2million a year but politely declined.

Since he has taken the reigns of the Spanish national team in 2008 they have gone from strength to strength firmly establishing themselves as the best team in the world, breaking records left right and centre. He has a win % with Spain of 83% and has managed to bring together the Madrid and Barcelona players and unite them behind one cause, this is actually not getting the credit it deserves as relations between the clubs particularly since JM has taken charge are at an all time low.

There were phonecalls from him to Casillas and Xavi to ensure civil war did not break out in the Spanish camp in the lead up to Euro 2012 and it is a mark of how good he is at handling these situations that it did not get out of control and the media focused very little on it.

    Top manager.
