    Hey, I need help.
I got offered a place for the PGDE in Maynooth but I still have not found a school!! I have got in touch with about 50 schools but most I didnt even hear back from. I was told from the college that I have until the start of the symester to find a School but with the schools being closed most of the time now its just getting harder. Is anyone else in the same boat as me?? Or does anyone know any shools that havn't filled their qouta yet?? Any info would help!!

LCC might be worth a shot, they're generally happy to host NUIM students.

Thanks but they are full. I was trying any schools on the train and bus routes because I wont be driving and lucan was nearly first on my list. The college realy should have a better way of doing this!!

The ones on the bus and train routes will fill first. It's worth thinking about approaching schools which mightn't be considered 'good' schools. People are often reluctant to do their placement there but the experience would stand to you. Also if you're not from around Maynooth have you tried schools in your own area? Then you could just come up to Maynooth for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you find a school that's just a little bit outside the radius they have been known to stretch it to accommodate people. If you're really in a panic contact the Education Dept. I'm not sure who's the course co-ordinator this year but they're all very helpful in there!

I wouldnt be able to go to my local schools as I live up north. Yea, im ringing around again today but its getting really disheartening. I rang the college this morning and they just said to keep looking and not to worry but if I dont find a place I cant regester. They didnt say if they would help me find a place but the lady on the phone was lovely. Im not to familiar with Dublin and in the nicest way could someone tell me what the rougher areas would be??
