Peugeot 406 AC problem

Hello, I own a 03 peugeot 406 2ltr hdi, It seems to have an Air Con problem, most of the time it is fine , but then again it spends days just fogging up the inside, and a smell from the vents, Has anybody any ideas, or is there anybody on the EastCoast who specalise in this, who would have a look, mobile unit maybe ?

it might need to be re-gassed. ~€100 afaik.
