    What's the best way of making money off the internet - I can do the basics ( build a (basic)website/app ) but from what I'm being told it's only pennies that can be earned from Goog's Adsense (add cents - but not Euros ?? ).;
    I have some domain names and when I have time I'll get around to building a web site for them but in the meantime I'm not giving up 'the day job' .

    If I thought I could earn €1k / week (and not from ebay as that's another story ! ) THEN I'd concentrate on the domains / web and let the day job lies for a while.:cool:

    Probably unrealstic ?

    The "best" way is a very subjective thing - it depends on your knowledge, your background, your hobbies and likes, if you speak another language, how much capital you have to invest in any projects, if you have friends or colleagues who are in business or technology, etc. Way too many variables for anyone here to tell you what's best for you.

    The quickest way, IMO, is to start providing a service of some kind. This is typically not very scalable, but has the advantage of low startup costs.

    Other options to look at are creating information products based on your expertise, creating real world products and selling on your own site, or ebay, etc, or selling other peoples products (affiliate sales).

    Take a look at Seth Godin's post "How to make money online" http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2012/05/how-to-make-money-online.html

    Do a lot of reading on various different methods and think about the pros and cons of each before you jump in.

    Think a selling site (where people would pay for products I'd post to them) or pay for Advisory (say making a tour plan and emailing to them) might be the way to check.
    Will check Seth Godin's site.

    €1k a week from the internet? Talk about settings your goals high! :pac:

    Best think you can concentrate on it getting a good website up and running, generating traffic. If you have a genuine site that offers good content then visitors will come to you, and with that; advertising revenue.

    All about finding your niche.

    And working hard.

    I used to think that all the good niches would have been filled, but it's far from true.

    Think about what you know about, then research what is/isn't on the web. Identify information areas that aren't filled (or which are filled with stuff that's not SEO friendly). See what's there, do small scale tests to see if people are looking for what's not there, identify the gap, and work hard to fill it.

    You might strike it lucky and get rich quickly. More likely you won't - the best advise I've seen is to consider the internet as a "get rich real slow" proposition.

    google adsense may bring pennies when you start but eventually when you keep working constantly it starts to pull large dollar as in any business you can't aspect large income when you just starting out GOOD LUCK!!!
