Funding for UK Taught Master's?

I'm applying for some maths taught master's courses in Britain and I was wondering does anybody know of any funding I could apply for?
I've looked here http://www.postgraduatestudentships.co.uk/ and here http://postgradireland.com/ and not found anything.

I guess that the fact that I'm applying pretty late, not from Britain, and not doing a research master's will count against me.

There is practically zero funding for taught Master's in the UK. If you applied for Research Council money you could get your fees paid, although your maintenance wouldn't be paid; some universities have their own scholarships, so do some research around the websites of the universities you're interested in - for instance Cambridge has its Gates scholarships. Is this to start in September 2012? If so then you're too late for practically all funding I'm afraid, a lot of deadlines are very early.

    Thanks for your help.

Yeah I think the funding is very thin on the ground for taught master's courses.

It is for September 2012. I've looked up the individual universities and I can't find anything either. I think you're right; I'm too late.

I'm just going to have to obliterate my savings.

Good luck; the situation is awful for taught Master's.

I think (from personal experience) that a lot of universities' funding deadlines are in the spring, although the likes of Cambridge have deadlines as early as October for entry the following year! It's the same for PhDs if you were thinking of applying for them in the future, just fyi :)

Cheers. I'll keep that in mind. Can't afford to miss those deadlines!
