    Hi,

Will be travelling to Dublin next week and need to get a bus from O'Connell street to Belfield pretty sharpish for an exam - what bus would be the best to get and runs frequently?

    Many thanks!

    Several options:

    To UCD Flyover:
    46a from O'Connell Street
    46a and 145 from D'Olier Street

    To UCD Campus:
    39a from College Street

Depends on the time of day. Anything from 25 to 40 minutes.

Depends on traffic volumes in the city centre and Donnybrook, you didn't say what time you'd be leaving the city centre. Off-peak you should be there in 30 minutes max.

You'll be getting off near the Montrose Hotel and will be walking across the flyover to the campus entrance, then you have to walk to the examination venue. I'd allow the guts of an hour to get from O'Connell St. to your seat in the examination hall.

The 46A comes from Parnell Sq. and the 145 comes up Bachelors Walk and turns right over O'Connell Bridge so the best stop for you is the first bus stop in D'Olier St. by the Spar shop, you can pick up either bus there. Both of them take an identical route and stop at the same stops between there and UCD so one is as good as the other for you.

If you are going from college street the bus (39a) will bring you straight into the campus
