Hi, I am able to be made redundant from my job and have three questions.

    1. Will I have to pay tax on the lump sum that I get over and above statutory?

    2. I have the option to keep on a few Directorship's in the company and sister companies, which I would like to do. If I keep them on and get paid for them will this effect by ability to claim back the tax from my lump sum?

    3. For tax purposes would I be better setting up a company and charge a fee to be a Director?

    1) Perhaps,

    2) Perhaps,

    3) Probably not.

    You need proper advice.
