Got soaked to the skin this morning so need to get myself some decent wet gear. I've heard Gavin green are among the best but seems pretty pricey.
Budget about 150 euro. Can I get bottoms and jacket for this? Any particular brands that are good? Links to special offers much appreciated

Yeah but if you had Galvin Green you would have saved yourself at least 3 shots.

I've the Proquip Tourflex rainsuit bought from this crowd.

Highly recommended, totally waterproof and breathable and just about in your budget ;129. It's the Ryder Cup suit that the European team used and the Americans ended up buying in Celtic Manor as their raingear leaked

Galvin Green you're talking €350+ for top and trousers. Worth looking on ebay though, often good deals on used ones there.

I got the nike dri fit one, think it was about 140 for top and bottoms, While theyre v good at keeping me dry they are very very warm in any kinda of humid or hot weather.
I can see why the Galvin Green stuff is so pricey, id say its very very breathable. But i just dont play enough golf in wet weather to justify 400 euro on top and bottoms

Everyone will tell you Galvin Green. I'm not against them and they probably are the best gear available but they cost far too much money. I got a stuburt jacket and sunderland trousers from andrew morris golf and they are excellent.
They are a good fit and kept me dry throughout many rounds of golf as well as the Irish open this week. They are warm in the wind but you dont be sweaty after walking 18.
I think they cost around £120 in total.

I've. GG jacket which is excellent, very light and easy to swing in. Also have a pair of Sunderland bottoms which were not too expensive. You don't need to go for a mad expensive jacket but just make sure you can swing in it.
