My girlfriend drinks vodka mostly were I drink beer. Also what's the story with tipping? And getting a bar tab. We're hoping to do some shopping as well-…

Hi all,

Me and my girlfriend are going to new York and Boston at the start of December. Can anyone give me advice about the cost of drinking and eating in both cities?
My girlfriend drinks vodka mostly were I drink beer. Also what's the story with tipping? And getting a bar tab. We're hoping to do some shopping as well- what's the average price of jeans etc! Thanks for the advice
