i lost 8 out of 30 last week ,these were 12 to 14 week old in 40 x26 foot pen with plenty of shelter and perches ,no fox or mink signs in the pen.i think the very heavy rain in the area last week did the harm,

Blacknecks will stay bud;) the melanistics are rockets from cover, we have one who has been shot at so many times, hes always in heavy cover and flies at about 100ft when flushed.

Well we have about 10,000 7 week olds out and haven't lost one since they were three weeks old and the rain had being hammering them, once they have a bit of shelter they will be fine.

In the last four weeks I said... You see, there is a right way and a wrong way of rearing birds and when you're in the business you can't afford to lose birds bud. I mean someone said they lost 8 out of 30, fourteen week olds? If we were running on that number with poults we would be out of business.

I haven't a clue about dispatching vermin? Where did you get that from?
