    EI-ICG (Rescue 115) became operational today and made its first rescue and delivered the casualty to Galway Hospital.

    The casualty......

    A FERRY worker was last night fighting for his life after suffering serious head injuries in a fall.

    The accident happened as a ferry docked at Kilronan on the Aran Islands yesterday morning.

    The man, who works for the Aran Islands Ferry company, is believed to have fallen down stairs on the Ceol na Farraige.

    The man, who is from Co Galway, was airlifted to University Hospital Galway where he was last night in a critical condition.

    The ferry company said the matter would be investigated.
