The best 10 euro I ever spent

I have just completed six months as a subscriber to Dublin Bikes and it's a fabulous service. I use it just about every day but then I am an inner city dweller.

However like anything it could always be better. Does anybody know if there are any plans to extend the service, ie have more stations and perhaps expand it out just a little beyond its current confines which seem to be very much within the canals? There doesn't seem to be anything in the website FAQs about expansion plans.

It would do well to expand out towards Clontarf, Bayside and Sutton. The seafront is ideal for cycling. It would only take 2, possibly 3 of the bike stations.

It's a brilliant service, just a pity they don't deliver bikes quicker to stations that run out.

Like at the top of Eccles St (outside the Mater General).

It's not a station I'd use much, but several times over the past few weeks I've done there in the afternoons and there were no bikes.

As Seanmac says, they should definitely take it out as far as Bayside/Sutton as there's an off-road cycle lane that's used by plenty of people.
