    Gday all,

Just back from a family holiday in France ( la tranche sur mer to be exact) & wanted to do some cycling. I found out that de local club go on a Tuesday, Thursday @8.30am & at 8 on a Sunday. So rocked up on de first Tuesday I was there @ 8.30. I was greeted by everyone one of them & made feel very welcome. We set off not knowing how far or Wat speed we were going to do. First spin was 92k 2nd 84 3rd 120 4th 92 & 5 th 92 at a fast pace. Just saying that it was very enjoyable & would recommend it to anyone.

We are heading to Royan in a few weeks. How did you find the club? I've done a few searches on the net without much success. Did you just find out when you got there?

Riding in a group on the other side of the road and rotating through will be fun, assuming I don't mess up

Found out when there. Went to a local bike shop & they rang de local club for me. Very helpful they were. They expect everyone to do their turn on front which is fair enough. No problem rotating around. Bit weird not speaking much French & they had very little English but all was good. Fast feckers thou

Same here. Called into the LBS and they told me where the club meets. Notice board there detailing routes and departure day/times. One occasion finished up in the club house drinking pastis (and wouldn't take a sou for the drink...).
