Administrator password won't work

So we have a home computer it's windows vista and I'm the administrator and there's 4 other standard accounts but now my password won't work. Everything on the computer is blocked with the settings and you can't download music or iTunes without it. Is there a way I can find it out or bypass it?

I tried a password cracker but it won't let me run it without the password. I tried starting the comp through safemode in the hope it would log me into the admin account but no luck:( has anyone any ideas what I could do?

You can use a boot disc called ophcrack to get the password it's a brute force crack make sure to download the vista version

That's the one I tried and it asked for permission to run it=/ but I was trying to download it I wonder if that was the problem? If i burned it to a disk from another computer I wonder would it still block it?

You burn it to a disk and boot from that disk. Your windows password will have nothing to do with actually running the iso

Is it a bios password or a windows password? Could you take a photo of the screen asking for a password and attach it here?

You will need to boot off the CD you've burnt (Sometimes you acess a "boot menu"-sometimes F12 on startup), others you must enter the bios/setup (usually del or F2 key on startup but it varies...) and under boot priority settings set the CD/DVD drive to be first.
