I'm looking for a good carpenter to fix a sticky hall door. I'm sure it's not to difficult a job but it's an older house with the original door which I would like done right.
    South Dublin area.

I have taken a few measurements but can't find anything way out. It seems to jar at the middle where a horizontal frame goes across. Also the original top and bottom bolts don't line up their receiving holes.

Sounds a lot like the hinges are worn out,to check open the door half way,put a small nail bar between the floor and the leading edge of the door, gently try and lift the door and see how much rock there is.If the door moves up and down replace the hinges.
